Topic: Modelling a moving point load on a simple supported beam
Hi, I need help with modelling a moving a point load over a simple support beam in ABAQUS.
I have modelled the beam as a wire. Then I have created another part which is just a point to the end of the beam. This point I have connected to the wire by an interaction. The interaction is a surface-to-surface. No friction and hard contact.
Finally the load is applied to the point. The force has a value of -1 but the amplitudes varies according to specified values at specific time steps. These are defined in a tabular form. A boundary condition is the applied to the point with U1 = 1 and the displacement at each time step is the definied in the same way as for the force, i.e. in a tabular form.
When I run this model, I get vary strange accelerations A2. What am I doing wrong?
